The Full Story

Dj Infamous Sleepy began his journey in the Music Industry in the late 90s while attending college at Elizabeth City State University. While maintaining a full schedule and framing Houses and Condos, He Dj'd up to 95 % of college functions on campus. He joined the college rep program with Def Jam Music Group. During his Senior year of ECSU, he developed DreamTeamPromotions in 1999. He worked on several tours and got a job with the label. He started as an intern and when leaving the label he was promoted as the Brooklyn Street Team Leader. He was picked to be a tour promoter and toured with the label. He was offered a bigger position with Elektra Entertainment Group in 2001. 

 

He then moved over to Elektra and became the NYC Market Team Leader and National Distributor for the Urban Department. He also was holding down the CEO/Owner/Founder of DreamTeamPromotion. Gaining accounts with the majors and promoting Various Hip Hop Artist. In addition to all his hard work, He then expanded DreamTeamPromotions to the Seattle Market in 2003. He was offered a National Directors position for an Indy Label in Seattle. This entailed control of 12 different Markets and Distribution of SeaReal Records. While in Seattle he discovered the Pacific Northwest Talent and began to Dj in local spots. While building his brand he traveled back and forth to the East Coast. His fan base also expanded and began making Podcast. He took the music industry by storm and has been rank 3 & 4 in the world on Podomatic.com. He then took a chance and began working with Juice Radio, a local Hip Hop Internet radio station. For 4 years his two Radio shows Cognac & Cutz, Cutz & Vibes where ranked in the top 5 of listeners. He also took the Brand of DreamTeamPromotions to the next level. Working with some local companies such as MicroSoft in launching some new websites. He then decided that the company should move to Charlotte, NC. At this time he began Marketing with the Home Depot, while still maintaining both shows with Juice Radio. During this time he became a self-taught Sound Engineer and Producer. He then moved back to Seattle to continue his musical journey.
